oh my god
oh my god
If you don’t love British tv you’re wrong.
so carlos is a scientist, with nice, yet slightly greying hair. In an out of the way little town which is nevertheless scientifically interesting and being watched by a vague, yet menacing government organization?
Who the fuck cares? Those guys were canon in their race and they changed it.
It’s similar stories so STOP FUCKING MAKING EVERYTHING ABOUT RACE ALREADY.
I’m not making “Everything about race.”
I’m making deliberate white washing about race. Which it is.
Portraying a canonly dark skinned man of color as white boy Ruffalo is racist.
This has had me thinking for a while now, hence me searching to bring it up. Funnily enough it was this post that got me listening to Night Vale, so here we are. Full circle.
The OP has just described the similarities in the characters which there are quite a few of.
They are not stating that Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner is Carlos.
They’re not stating Mark Ruffalo should play Carlos.
There’s just similarities in the character.
I don’t want to play the “black friend” card, but in my very multi-cultural group of friends (who have listened to Night Vale) I mentioned the similarities and they were all very appreciative of it, including one of my friends who is black. When I told them someone had perceived it to be racist they all cried Bull Shit and my black friend even went as far to say “I bet they were white” which looking at FandomsandFeminisms’ Bio says they are.
He said he was actually angry that someone was trying to encase his race in a bubble and suggest that black people can only be compared with black people, like their race was inherent to their personality and character.
Would be very interested to hear anyone’s thoughts.
PERCY!!! My second favorite engine next to James. I fucking hate you Thomas though.
I’ve just noticed Kim Jong Un looks very much like Gordon.
Swedish Chef Ramsay
this is the best thing ever
THIS IS THE MOST AWESOMEST THING EVER WHY DOESN’T IT HAVE 100000 NOTES
please blast this asshole with hate
Remember that post I *JUST* reblogged? GREAT EXAMPLE.
Never mind the fact that there are more gender specific shelters because women are MUCH more likely to be the victims of domestic violence.
Only ass-holes use facts, right?
Experts have expressed concern that male victims have been unfairly ignored due to gender-driven politics and that this contributes to the intergenerational cycle of domestic violence
Could feminism be called: “gender-driven politics" ?
Another fuckwad to preemptively block.
Yes, because there are no facts to back up feminism. None…whatsoever.
^^^ Another fucktard who claims to be for equality but spreads hate.
But ok, I’m going to speedily debunk all of these with respect to the OP.
Women hold under 5% of all sewage worker jobs.
Currently women hold less than 19% of the seats in US congress. This is less than it was in 1993 and down from our all time high of 24.5% in 2010.
Women make up the majority of the electorate, you vote for male representatives.
Girls, worldwide, are less likely to reach adulthood than boys because of gender based violence. In fact, 80% of the victims of hand held gun violence in war are female.
But this has nothing to do with the USA, the country you’re pushing feminism in, where women have a higher average life expectancy and experience domestic abuse at the same rate as men.
Mothers are more likely to physically abuse their male babies than female babies, and are more likely to abuse in general (apart from sexual) their babies than fathers are.
Feminism cannot make people who don’t know you more likely to rape you than someone who does know you.
Because of discrimination in educational access world wide, the world illiteracy rate is twice that for women than men.
But in the USA, where you’re pushing feminism, women graduate more than men.
The wage gap is alive and well, with white women making 77 cents to a man’s dollar and this is greatly magnified for women of color who experience multiple axis of oppression.
But women control 88% of the purchasing power in the USA and gain most from public funding. When all relevant factors are controlled for (taking time out for having children, life choices, etc..) the wage gap shrinks to about 6-7c .. and in some areas is in women’s favour.
Because of female objectification and sexualization in the media, and the pressure on women and girls to look “perfect,” around 90% of people who suffer with eating disorders are women/girls
90% of rape victims are female.
Most rapes in the USA occur in prison, with male victims, and is conveniently erased here.
Advertisers sell you the idea that you want to be beautiful and a product to make you that way, you’re cattle to advertisers.
8% women have been stalked in their lifetimes compared with 2% of men. Many of these women have also been physically and/or sexually assaulted by their stalker.
It’s widely known that men report crimes of this nature at a much lower rate than women.
There are strict penalties for women who report a rape. They arevictim blamed and slut shamed and the attention turns to their behavior and/or sexual history instead of the facts of the case. The result is that only 46% of rapes are ever even reported to the police.
NOT A SINGLE WOMEN HAS EVER BEEN JAILED FOR FALSELY ACCUSING RAPE, WHEREAS THE FALSELY ACCUSED MAN IS MORE OFTEN THAN NOT SENT TO PRISON, WHERE HE IS RAPED AND ERASED.
Can we stop feminism now? At least in western countries? You’re not even fighting these topics- you’re fighting men trying to raise awareness of their topics.

Edgar Balogh - ”BAROQUE” Series / BAROQUE 2
Folds of flesh are convincingly modelled into bodies resembling and re-assembling trans-species hybrids, in a kind of experimental cloning. Long-legged, insectile nanohumanoids whip their lizard-like tails into spiralling vortexes of flesh. One nightmarish image contrasts plumped fingerprint whirls into a disturbing grin wrapped around the central omphalos of a Cyclops’ eye. Perhaps due to the engorged penile pseudopodium that lies beneath.
The paintings taunt us in that abject territory made familiar by the American performance artist Paul McCarthy. The vuvuzela, a comical instrument made of cheap plastic is held and played whilst a mute inhuman face with holes for eyes and mouth stares out at us. Are they part of the same body, simultaneously playing out their dumb show whilst watching for our reaction?
“Exbarbie..XII” is a close up of a face of indeterminate age or gender. Its wrinkles indicate someone advanced in years but the otherwise elastic quality of the skin suggests the face of an especially miserable foetus. The purplish growth on the forehead, together with the supernumerary nipple or navel, indexes science fiction. Is the need to shut out or contain pain the reason these eyes close against the world voluntarily? Or is it because they cannot or will not open to return our gaze? Any clues we might rely upon by way of human eye contact are denied. These portraits beg the question: are we actually staring into the face of the inhuman?
